This page shows my understanding of the 12th NAEA standard, Visual Arts Educators Continue Their Professional Development Throughout Their Careers. The first piece from my visual journal shows the type of teacher I am and want to continue to be. It shows that I am aware of the kinds of personality traits that students today want in a teacher. The second piece shows my ability to understand my own interests and the things that I care about and want to create art about. I believe that maintaining my own studio practice is what helps develop and further my understanding of myself, my art and my teaching stratagies.
